UK TELEVISION and radio presenter Adrian Chiles will host the IChemE Global Awards, to be held at The Palace Hotel in Manchester, UK on 3 November 2016.

Chiles will oversee the awards ceremony which celebrates innovation and excellence in the chemical, process, and biochemical industries.

IChemE says two new categories have been added for 2016; the Team of the Year and the Biotechnology Award. Chiles will welcome over 400 guests to the event and will present 17 awards in total.

The evening includes the Award for Outstanding Achievement in Chemical and Process Engineering, which signifies an overall winner on the night. The US’ Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) won the award last year for its green fracking technology.

The event is sponsored by several large companies that represent the chemical engineering industry, including AstraZeneca, Costain, ExxonMobil, GSK and ABB Consulting, among many others.

Entries for all of the 17 awards close on Friday 8 July. To apply, visit www.icheme.org/awards.
